By Robert RomanoJanuary 26, 2018 12:27:14The price of drug-themed bath salts is soaring in the United States, but a new study shows the price of a rug in this country is falling by more than 20% in the past year.
According to the research firm Avalere Health, the cost of a new bath towel in the U.S. is currently $0.75 per square foot, up 20% from the $0 in January 2018.
In comparison, a standard bath towel is $2.80 per square feet, up 40% from $2 in January.
Avalere says that despite the rising price of bath salts, the trend will not continue.
The study found that the cost per square-foot of bath towels fell by 27% in 2017 compared to 2016.
In 2020, it fell by 20%.
“Bath towels are a significant and often overlooked part of the bathtub experience,” Avalere Senior Analyst Jessica J. Loeffler said in a statement.
“It is important to remember that bath towels are just a product of the past, and they should not be discounted or discounted at all.”
Loeffl said that in the future, it is important for bath towels to stay in their original packaging, to maintain a low price, and to be more affordable.
The Avalere study found the cost to purchase a bath towel dropped by a total of $6,000 over the last year.
In 2017, it was $14,500, according to Avalere.
